Linda Tutt Scholarship Online Application

The Sanger Education Foundation is honored and privileged to maintain and administer thirteen named student scholarships. Scholarships are available for first-semester secondary trade, two year or four year higher educational institutions or career programs.   All applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on the due date.  Students may apply for multiple scholarships as long as all scholarship criteria have been met and submitted.  Award amounts range from $200.00 – $1,000.00 and must be accepted by October 1st of the award calendar year. Students must be present at  Sanger High School Senior Award night or Linda Tutt High School Graduation Ceremony.

Available Student Scholarships

  • The Stephen Baker Scholarship

    The Stephen Baker Scholarship was established by Friends, Teammates and the Classmates of Stephen with stewardship placed within the Foundation in December 2009. This fully endowed scholarship is given annually to a graduating senior from Sanger High School who has lettered in at least two varsity sports, maintained an A-B average and demonstrated leadership, strength or character and sportsman like conduct both on and off the field/court/track.

  • Chelsea Bulger Memorial Scholarship

    Chelsea Bulger Memorial Scholarship was established by Mark and Renee Bulger in October 2008 and is awarded annually to a graduating senior from Sanger High School who has participated in volley ball or golf with preference being given to a student attending a two year junior college.

  • The Clovis Crockett Memorial Scholarship

    The Clovis Crockett Memorial Scholarship was originally created by the Class of 1928 in memory of their classmate, and moved to the Foundation in 2011. This academic scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior with priority given to extenuating circumstances of family situations that could affect their pursuit of higher education.

  • The Purple Pride Scholarship

    The Purple Pride Scholarship was established by Kent and Christy Crutsinger and is awarded to a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership through academic success, extracurricular and community engagement. The award will highlight an individual who has enhanced the spirit and pride of Sanger in both school and community.

  • The Carol Danner & Family Scholarship

    The Carol Danner & Family Scholarship was established in 2017 in honor of Carol Danner and her dedication to the students of Sanger High School upon retirement from SHS Math Department. The scholarship recognizes a graduating SHS student entering a 4 year college or university with the intent of entering one of the STEM fields or pursuing a degree in education.

  • DATCU Scholarship

    DATCU Scholarship partners with the Foundation awarding scholarships to deserving graduates, exemplifying academic success while attending Sanger High School.

  • Billy Craig Dennis Memorial Scholarship

    Billy Craig Dennis Memorial Scholarship was created by the friends and family of Billy Craig Dennis with stewardship placed within the Foundation in 2007. This fully endowed scholarship awards a graduating senior from Sanger High School who enrolls in a college or trade school with the interest of pursuing a career in agriculture.

  • Miguel Garza Memorial “Love and Light” Scholarship

    Miguel Garza Memorial “Love and Light” Scholarship was established by Rena and Eric Garza and awarded to a College-Bound or Junior College –Bound Senior who best exemplifies Miguel’s love for life, his ability to bring a smile to brighten any situation and values true friendships.

  • Joe & Elizabeth Higgs Spirit of Sanger Scholarship

    Joe & Elizabeth Higgs Spirit of Sanger Scholarship was originally established by Kent and Christy Crutsinger in honor of Joe and Elizabeth Higgs and given to a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership through academic success, extracurricular and community engagement. The award will highlight an individual who has enhanced the spirit and pride of Sanger in both school and community.

  • Rusty Higgs Memorial Scholarship

    Rusty Higgs Memorial Scholarship was established in 1980 by Rusty’s fellow classmates. The Scholarship was placed within the Foundation in 2017. The Rusty Higgs Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a SHS Athlete who exhibits both athletic and academic success and has a passion for athletics.

  • The Alta Holder Scholarship

    The Alta Holder Scholarship is the longest continuously awarded scholarship within Sanger ISD and the Sanger Community. Until fully established this scholarship is independently funded by First United Bank of Sanger until fully endowed.

  • The Taylor Jones Scholarship

    The Taylor Jones Scholarship is a pass through scholarship made possible by Derbha and Reginald Jones in Honor of their daughter, Taylor Jones upon her graduation from Veterinary School. Applicants must be a female athlete student with an interest in pursuing Veterinary Science/Medicine.

  • The Roman Juarez Memorial Scholarship

    The Roman Juarez Memorial Scholarship was created by CoServ Electric, Inc. in 2008, in memory of Roman Juarez who was tragically lost in the line of duty. Roman’s Family combined their family scholarship with CoServ Electric in 2017. This fully endowed scholarship is awarded to a meritorious college bound senior who participated in a sports activity.

  • Rowdy Pursur Memorial Scholarship

    Rowdy Pursur Memorial Scholarship was newly created by Drew Hall and Hall Real Estate in memory of fellow classmate Rowdy Pursur. This scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who has lettered in at least two varsity sports, maintained a A-B average and demonstrated leadership, strength, or character and sportsman like conduct both on and off the field/court/track.

  • Linda Tutt Memorial Scholarship

    Linda Tutt Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually by family and friends. The Scholarship was placed within the Foundation in November 2009 and awarded to a graduating senior from Linda Tutt High School. All applicants must have the intent to pursue either higher education in a two year or four year higher education college or junior college, or seeking to earn a career industry certification or pursing vocational training.

  • The Martin Villanueva Attendance Scholarship

    The Martin Villanueva Attendance scholarship was created by the classmates of Martin Villanueva (Class of 1979) and placed within the Foundation for stewardship in 2009 and is a fully endowed scholarship awarded to a graduating senior with the fewest absences.

  • The CoServ Charitable Foundation

    The CoServ Charitable Foundation partners with the Foundation awarding scholarships to deserving graduates, exemplifying academic success while attending Sanger High School.

  • Bob & Mary Jo Stover Scholarship

    Awarded to a graduating student who has participated in Girls Basketball while attending Sanger High School
